Revolution Flea Treatment is a topical liquid medication
with no unpleasant odor that contains Selemectin that is applied
once a month at one spot on the skin in front of the shoulder blades
and is safe enough for use on your pets including puppies and kittens
over 6 weeks of age. This product is non-greasy, quick drying, and
waterproof, which means the protection, will remain effective after
swimming, rain, shampooing or exposing your pet to sunlight if you
wait at least 2 hours after the product was applied to your pet.
Revolution Flea is generally well-tolerated and provides
systemic treatment against a broad spectrum of external and internal
parasites. It works by entering in the bloodstream through the skin

side effects only less than 1% of dogs and cats experienced digestive
upset and approximately 1% of cats experienced temporary hair loss
at the application site.
Revolution is not a pesticide but just a prescription-only
medicine with broad-spectrum protection against most internal and
external parasites including heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria
immitis and the treatment and control of ear mite (Otodectes cynotis)
infestations but prior to administration, pets should be tested
for existing heartworm infections. While the number of circulating
adult Dirofilaria immitis microfilariae may decrease following the
treatment, this medication is not effective for microfilariae clearance.
As general rule, the product must not be used in weak,
sick or underweight animals and in humans may be irritating to skin
and eyes.
