"How
To Protect Your Dog From Painful Canine Arthritis - Buy Metacam
for Dogs"
Did you know that it has been estimated
that as much as 20 percent of the canine population over one year
of age has degenerative joint disease, the progressive degeneration
and destruction of the articular cartilage that looses its elasticity
allowing softening to occur. Metacam for dogs is an effective pain
relief playing a vital role in reducing the impact on the quality
of life that painful osteoarthritis brings to dogs. Fissures can
form in your dog's cartilage and result in fibrillation and cell
death causing the cartilage to break itself down in a continuous
and vicious cycle of degeneration.

Metacam for dogs belongs to the new generation of
effective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). The active
compound of its formula is meloxicam, a drug which brings benefits
to dogs by reducing inflammation of their joints and relieving the
pain associated with arthritis disease, osteoarthritis and pain
condition. This situation can range in severity from slight stiffness
to extreme lameness.
Metacam for dogs is a honey-flavored oral suspension
that may be added to your dog's food or given directly by mouth,
although any medication should be not administered without first
consulting your veterinarian. While in healthy dogs the normal articular
cartilage covers the bone on both sides of a joint providing nearly
friction-free motion of the joint, in dogs developing arthritic
condition the articular cartilage structure is altered and the biomechanical
properties of the joint change in a painful condition.
Metacam for dogs reduces the pain and inflammation
in dogs within hours, whilst minimizing the side-effects seen with
other less selective products, although it must be used with caution
in dogs with heart failure, liver or kidney disease. The main principles
of management of osteoarthritis, as with humans, are first the relief
of pain and then the control of inflammation trying to keep the
joint working.
These principles alongside with the proper medication
and controlled diet, weight and exercise, will make a significant
difference to your dog's well being and improving his quality of
live. Another advantage in the use of this medication is that help
is always at your hand if you decide to join to the Metacam Continuous
Care Program which provides, along with your veterinarian, a level
of arthritis care to improve significantly your dog health.
Your dog deserves a long and happy life, don't let
as old age approaches, the various health problems that can arise
so, with a little vigilance on your part, you can identify any serious
problem and seek veterinary advice straight away on time.
