cosequin are chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride and
manganese ascorbate. Research has shown that these ingredients work
together maintain the structure of your dog's joint cartilage while
slowing down the enzymes that break down cartilage.
Dog Cosequin can be given as young
as 6 weeks of age and is safe for all breeds and sizes of dogs.
If your dog is less than 10 pounds it is recommended that you give
them 1 to 1 ½ capsules daily, if your dog is over 10 pounds
the amount should be 2 capsules per day, around 12 hours a part.
The weight of the dog decides how many capsules he should have in
a 24 hour period.
After your dog has been on this
supplement for at least a month, the amount given can be reduced.
You can have your veterinarian test your dog to ensure that the
maintenance level is reached. Then you will know if you need to
increase or decrease the amount of Cosequin given in a 24 period.

How Dog Cosequin should
be used
The usual starting dose for the first 4 to 6 weeks for dogs and

and cats 10-24 lbs give 2 capsules daily (1 in the morning and 1
in the evening). After 6 weeks the dose can be reduced to a maintenance

Side effects are rare but may include diarrhea.

in the presence of an infection or if surgery is needed.
In the event of overdose
Overdose is not likely but may result in diarrhea.
How should I store this product
